This year's panel of gardening professionals chose eight plants to receive the honour of being Les Exceptionelles, and two of the eight are in our 2021 new annuals lineup!
This is the original location for the Les Exceptionelles program, which now includes two additional trial gardens. Each trial is located at a prominent public garden in Quebec.
The results from these three gardens are collectively used to select The Exceptionals (Les Exceptionelles) for the year. This year the panel of gardening professionals chose eight plants to receive this honor, and two of the eight are in our 2021 new annuals lineup.
The Daniel A. Seguin garden is located in Ste. Hyacinthe, which is in zone 5.
The varieties noted as Top Performers averaged anywhere from a 4.0 to 4.9 out of 5.0 throughout the season. Please note a majority of the photographs below were provided by the trials staff at the Daniel A. Seguin Garden.
